Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party

History

Beginning in 1983, on select nights during November and December Walt Disney World’s Magic Kingdom hosts a privately ticketed party. Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party features holiday inspired characters, food and dining options, ride overlays, and even snow on Main Street USA.

Tickets and Dates

The 2023 Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas party features 25 days mostly on Sunday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday nights with some other days around holidays. Tickets range in price from $149-$189 for children 3- 9 years of age to $159-$199 for adults. The tickets are above and beyond a normal park entry and provide exclusive access to the park during party times. Tickets are eligible for Disney’s range of discounts on certain nights, but these nights are not prime nights.

Rides and Entertainment

Most rides are open on party night and queue times vary based on volume. There is a special parade called “Mickey’s Once Upon a Christmastime Parade.” This parade features holiday themed floats, entertainers, and Disney characters dressed in their holiday best. The fireworks for the evenings, features “Minnie’s Wonderful Christmastime Fireworks Show.” The show features some of our favorite holiday Disney music and an ambiance in the park like no other.

Shopping and Dining

There is free hot chocolate and cookies in designated locations throughout the park to keep you in the holiday spirit. Seasonal twists on some of our favorite snacks and foods pop-up during party time as well exclusive souvenirs such as popcorn buckets and sippers. Do not forget to take advantage of limited time PhotoPass opportunities, only available during party nights with the purchase of Memory Maker.

Tips

  • If you have a regular park ticket and a party ticket, you will be able to enter the park at any time during the day and remain in the park until the end of the party. You will need to swing through a line to get your wristband for party access. Cast members will dismiss you from the park at 6pm if you do not have a party ticket.
  • If you have a party only ticket, you can access the Magic Kingdom beginning at 4pm. Please follow cast member’s directions at the gate to ensure you are in the correct line.
  • The virtual queue is open for TRON: Lightcycle Run during party time. The queue opens at 6pm but do bear in mind that even with a virtual queue boarding group, some nights the wait in queue can be 1-2 hours.
  • Do be sure to look for party exclusive events or meet and greets you want to see and prioritize them for party nights. These are things you will not get an opportunity to do outside of the party.
  • If you skip one of the parades or the fireworks, you will see some of the lowest wait times for many rides and character meetings. Be sure to plan your path through Magic Kingdom to avoid parade traffic.

Closing

While not a mandatory event for everyone, we suggest trying a Mickey’s Very Merry Christmas Party at least once. This holds true especially if you are a fan of the Christmas Season. During party season, be sure to plan your Magic Kingdom days with parties in mind. Some people choose to go to Magic Kingdom on a party day because crowds are typically lower, but you do have far less time available in the park. We can help you book your tickets to the park, tickets to the party, and help you plan your vacation with complete information about party nights.
